Pro Automation GmbH has designed a robot cell to perform automatic disassembly of electrical devices. The cell is composed of a SCARA robot, a camera system, a screwing unit and a visualization system. Using a camera, the robot can detect screw positions and therefore achieve extremely high accuracy. This system allows to remove screws with a minimum diameter of up to M1.
We are proud to present the diploma thesis by Mr. Orsolits – the student of the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien – which was written under the supervision of Pro Automation and AEB Robotics.
Over the last year Mr. Orsolits has been working on a thesis on intuitive programming of robots using computer vision algorithms. As a result of his work there was developed an intuitive usable programming interface. Computer vision part allows to configure algorithms with the help of a computer mouse. It enables conversion of algorithms to computer programs without having special programming skills.
